How to stage a rental for a showing

Staging a property is all about making a great first impression.
People stage houses all the time when they want to sell but is it important if you are trying to rent a property?

Renting a home is often a temporary situation for people so expectations are often different than when people are looking to purchase a home.

Staging can be cost prohibitive and often doesn’t work because of the quick turnaround between tenants. Landlords can’t afford to have a property empty whilst they take the time to stage a property. However, the importance of first impressions are often forgotten when trying to find the ideal tenant. It is important to ensure your property shows well.

Here are some simple tips to get your property ready:
•    Showcase a professionally cleaned unit, including sparkling windows, appliances, kitchens, and bathrooms.•    If needed, a coat of fresh white paint can bring a rental property back to life.•    Ensure all necessary repairs have been carried out.•    Open curtains.•    Cut the grass and tidy the garden•    Have professional photographs taken.
